A fourth person has been charged with the murder of Croydon teenager Jermaine Goupall.

Daniel Luke, aged 18 and from Donald Road, Croydon was charged with murder today and will appear in custody at Camberwell Magistrates' Court this morning.

Three people have previously been charged with murder:

A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old Saskia Haye-Elliot of Northdowns Crescent, Croydon who were charged with murder on Saturday, August 12 and a 17-year-old male who was charged on August 14

All three defendants are due to next appear at the Old Bailey for a pre-trial preparation hearing on Wednesday, November 1.

A trial date has been set at the Old Bailey for January 8, 2018.

Police were called to Georgia Road, near the junction with Green Lane in Thornton Heath at around 11am on Tuesday, August 8.

Members of the public rushed to help Jermaine after he was injured before police officers and the London Ambulance Service arrived. Jermaine was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before midnight.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
