Missiles were thrown and four people arrested after a party turned violent on Thornton Heath Rec last night.
Police were called at 7.15pm on June 24 to reports that a large group had congregated in the park, some of whom had visible weapons. A fight was also reported.
We responded to an incident in Thornton Heath Rec this evening. A large crowd was dispersed, a number of arrests made, no reported injuries.

Missiles were thrown at local officers and the Territorial Support Group (TSG) who attended but there were no reports of any injuries.
Police dispersed the 200 people from the park a short while later.

A spokesperson for the the Met Police confirmed one female and three males were arrested.
He said: "The female was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon, an axe, and possession of class B drugs.
"Two males were arrested for possession of class B drugs and one male was arrested for failing to comply with a dispersal."
All four currently remain in custody at a south London custody suite.
Four knives were found after the park was searched.
