A debate between Epsom and Ewell’s General Election candidates has been rescheduled after this week’s meeting was cancelled out of respect for the victims of the Manchester terror attack.
Conservative Chris Grayling, Labour’s Ed Mayne, Liberal Democrat Steve Gee and the Greens’ Janice Baker will take part in a ‘Question Time’-style event at St Martin’s Church in Epsom on Tuesday, June 6.
The candidates will face questions from the audience on the NHS, education, business, foreign policy, defence, Brexit and many more topics between 8pm and 9.30pm.
After Wednesday night’s event was cancelled, Reverend David Senior, curate of St Paul’s Howell Hill, invited residents to join the church to pray for victims of the attack which left 22 dead.
Rev Senior promised a “lively debate” at the rescheduled event.
Epsom and Ewell’s General Election Question Time will take place between 8pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday, June 6 at St Martin’s Church in Church Street, Epsom. It is free to attend.
