A small, wingless van may hold the keys to solving a hit and run attack which left a cyclist nursing his injuries last night.
The victim, a man in his 50s, injured his right hip and left arm, after being hit by another vehicle, which police believe was a small white box van.
The van failed to stop, but the driver’s side wing mirror came off the vehicle and was left in Hurst Road, Walton-on-the-Hill just before 7pm on Thursday, April 19.
Surrey Police is appealing for the driver of the white van, which officers believe could be a Ford Transit Connect, to come forward.
The force is also appealing for witnesses to the hit and run.
