Wandsworth detectives are searching for a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted burglary in Putney.
The burglary attempt happened in Rusholme Road between 3.50am and 4.20am on Saturday, October 29, 2016 while a family were sleeping inside their home.
CCTV, released by the police today (Friday, January 20), showed the suspect getting in and out of a car belonging to the family.
Later he walked around the home trying the doors and windows and looked for a place to break in. He left with a coat taken from the boot of the car.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 20s with short brown hair and had stubble. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket, jeans and dark trainers.
PC Dan Ingram, from Wandsworth CID, said: "Whilst the family were sleeping, the suspect appeared to try to break into their home and then left the scene with a woman's coat.
“We are keen to identify the man in the footage so we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the theft to contact us."
Anyone with information are asked to call police on 101, or on Twitter @MetCC or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
