A Banstead care home sailed to success as it picked up two care awards at an awards ceremony last month.

The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society won Care Provider of the Year, and Deputy Clinical Manager, Dorota Sefarin took home the Frontline Leader of the Year gong at the Surrey Care Association Awards last month.

The Awards, run by the Surrey Care Association and first held in 2008, recognise the outstanding dedications of individuals and teams working within the adult social care sector.

More than 350 care professionals from across Surrey gathered at Epsom Downs Racecourse for the eighth annual award ceremony on Friday, November 19.

Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society Home Manager, Anne Kasey, said: “I am so tremendously proud of what the Home has achieved.

“Such recognition further cements the incredible effort and commitment all of our staff members dedicate in making the Home such a wonderful place to work and live.”

Frontline Leader of the Year winner Dorota said: “I am absolutely overjoyed at the award win and I am so proud to manage such a wonderful and committed team.

“Working with such talented and dedicated colleagues is a privilege and without their support we would not be able to provide such a high standard of car to our residents.”
