Two thirsty men stole two boxes of beer before returning to the same shop to steal more.

Surrey Police have since released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the shoplifting from the Co-op on Upper High Street, Epsom on Saturday, July 31.

The suspects stole two boxes of beer from the shop at about 6.30pm, before raiding the shop again sometime between 8.50pm and 9.10pm.

On their second attempt, staff locked the front entrance to the shop to prevent them leaving with the beer.

The men then offered to pay for the beer, but their card was declined. After to failing to pay for the beer, one of the men made threats towards staff and they left the shop empty-handed.

But shortly after their failed attempt to pay for the beer, they returned to the Co-op, picked up the boxes of beer and ran off with them.
