Police have arrested three people after drug raids on three homes in Wallington this morning.

Officers forced entry to the addresses, all on Roundshaw estate, at the same time shortly after 6:30am.

Two men were arrested inside a home in Stirling Avenue.

One man, 51, was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine, and the other, 34, was arrested after he was found to be wanted in connection to a shoplifting offence.

A 51-year-old woman was arrested in Vanguard Way on suspicion of possession of cocaine.

They have been taken to a south London police station and the suspected drugs have been seized.

The police were acting on information they had received from members of the public.

Safer Neighbourhoods Inspector Ian Hicks said: “These operations are important because they show we are determined to disrupt drug dealing and drug use on the estate.

“They are also important because they show members of the public that we act on the information we receive from them.

He added: “Please continue to tell us what’s going on and we will put a stop to these activities.”
