A motorcyclist died last night after falling off his bike and into the path of an oncoming Mercedes.
The driver, who was believed to have been in his 60s, was understood by police to have been part of a group of seven other bikers, when he was hit by the car in Old Farleigh Road, south Croydon last night at 8.15pm.
He was pronounced dead at 8.53pm, after the collision near the junction with Beech Way.
The Mercedes driver stopped but was not arrested.
Police are stopping all cars at Sainsbury's in #Selsdon from going down Old Farleigh Road. Sounds like something horrible has happened. 😞
