Encouraging people to use their high street shops is the central idea behind a new website that launched this week.
The site Cloudtown.co.uk has been set up by Carshalton mum Emma Fletcher, 37, in an attempt to bridge the gap between independent high street retailers and large scale web operations.
Mrs Fletcher, of Fir Tree Grove, Carshalton Beeches, said: "I just found that so many small businesses are based at home or don't have the budget to market their website.
"So I came up with the idea of starting up an online shop where other local businesses can get online.
"I don't want to stop people from using the high street. It's about letting the shops have 24/7 opening hours.
"We want to promote the click and collect so people go in to the shops still."
Cloudtown.co.uk currently has 12 businesses registered in the Sutton and Carshalton area. For further details on how to join up for free email cloudtown@sensecommunications.co.uk.
