A Richmond and Twickenham Times sub-editor saved the day by stepping in to be best man when his colleague tied the knot.
Fellow sub-editor Nathan Woolford and his wife Lisa said "I do" at the Richmond Hill Hotel on Sunday, December 7, with their family and friends joined by Santa for the celebrations.
The ceremony took place in the Richmond Room while the reception was enjoyed in the ballroom, where wedding guests began a conga around the hotel.
Santa also paid a visit, handing a gift to every guest, and Mr Woolford, 34, treated his new wife to an Elvis impersonation.
But just 48 hours earlier, the best man, who was due to come from Spain, had car trouble and missed his flight, leaving Mr Woolford without a right-hand man.
Mr Woolford's colleague and close friend Warren Gwillym immediately stepped up to the mark and agreed to take the role.
Mr Woolford, from Whitton, said: "He was absolutely incredible. He helped with everything, put together a fantastic speech and filled the role like a natural. It was very dramatic, but Warren definitely saved the day."
The couple, who had their first dance to Only You by Yazoo, said the day was the happiest of their life and were grateful for all their friends and family attending.
Mr Woolford said: "It was, in a word, overwhelming. I will never forget the immense feeling in seeing virtually everybody that we care about all together in the same room just before the ceremony. It is something that will live with me forever."
