Wallington-based school Wilson’s have been shortlisted for the final of a national app creation competition, the Astellas Innovation Challenge.
Competing against other schools from across England the contest will see each school turning their initial submission proposals into engaging and informative presentations.
The challenge, aiming to increase interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects and careers amongst UK school students, will take place at the Royal Institution of Great Britain on Tuesday, November 25.
Representing London in the final, Wilson’s pupils will see their idea for a healthy living app developed and made available for free download to the UK public should they wow the judges and win.
The judging panel is made up of various experts in the field of app creation, the CEO of Astellas Pharma Europe, Ken Jones, and television celebrity Rachel Riley.
