A youth football club is calling on more girls to put on their shin pads and enjoy a kick about.
Kew Park Rangers want more girls aged 10 to 13 years old to play football at North Sheen Recreational Park on Saturday mornings.
The club was set up in 1997 but now attracts both boys and girls from across the borough. Jonathan Moor, senior girls team manager, said: "Girls football has really taken off over the past few years.
"We’ve seen a surge in the number of younger girls playing at the club, which is great, but we are keen to attract more older girls too."
The girls team train and play at the recreation ground every Saturday during term time from 11am to 12.30pm.
