Award winning Scottish artist Charles Jamieson is to showcase his art in his first solo exhibition at the Stafford Gallery in Wimbledon.
The collection of work titled ‘An artist abroad’ is drawn from his many travels across the globe, including pieces from Italy, France, Greece, USA and Iceland.
‘An artist abroad’ will consist of some 65 pieces mostly oil paintings, pencil and charcoal sketches and one sculpture, it will run from September 22 to October 6.
Charles describes the work in his upcoming exhibition as "representational art" adding, "I react to the places I go, I try and capture the heat and light I see."
The Scottish Herald nominated Charles as one of the 50 most collectible Scottish artists working today.
Charles lives in Ayrshire, Scotland and in addition to painting works as a photographer and actor although he insists he can’t do them all at the same time.
