A charity has changed its name to reflect the broader area it works in, which now includes Kingston.
Home-Start Richmond has become Home-Start Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow, having been building up its services in Kingston since October 2016 and merging with the Hounslow .
It trains volunteers to visit families with children under five who are struggling with issues such as post-natal depression, bereavement, disability, isolation and financial and housing concerns.
Thirty families supported by the charity, including 55 children, from the three boroughs recently visited Kew Gardens for a day of activities.
Karen McLean, director said: “We look forward to raising the profile of Home-Start and continuing to work with families and volunteers across all three boroughs.”
Home-Start is currently recruiting volunteers with parenting experience to work across the area.
