East bound trains were not stopping at Stamford Brook Tube station this morning, causing minor headaches for early morning commuters.
A spokesperson for London Transport said defective tiles on the platform created a "trip hazard" at the District line station and meant that just westbound trains stopped there from the start of traffic to 7.40am.
"The station was open, but passengers who needed to travel east had to take a train going one stop in the other direction first before switching platforms and heading back towards central London," she added.

Trains are now stopping at the W6 station as normal. However the District line continues to suffer with severe delays today due to an earlier signal failure at Earls Court.
