Father’s Day came early for a lucky Wandsworth dad after he won £102,050 in the Lotto draw.
Father of two Williams Ojo put his win down to one of his sons whose request to go on holiday prompted him to purchase the winning ticket.
The 39-year-old supermarket customer advisor has already started planning the family’s first holiday abroad for himself, his wife Elizabeth, 50, and their two sons aged 12 and 16 after his win on May 29.
Mr Ojo said: “I still can’t believe we won. I bought the ticket at Euston station while I waited for my youngest son to go to the toilet. It was the half term break and he had been saying how much he wanted to go on holiday, so acting on impulse, I bought a Lucky Dip Lotto ticket for the Wednesday night draw – never expecting that we would actually win.
“It really is a dream come true for us. We have a good life but holidays aboard were just a luxury that we could not previously afford. This win means that I can actually give my family a proper holiday this year and take my boys on an aeroplane for the very first time - they are so excited, I can’t wait to see their faces. They both have a long list of things that they want and I can’t tell you how nice it is to be able to say ‘yes’ for a change.
“I truly believe I am blessed, life has thrown me a couple of curved balls of late and this win really will change so much for me and my family. It really does go to show you never know what’s around the corner.”
