A multi-million pound care home is due to be open this summer.

Signature, who also runs the Moorlands Lodge in Hindhead, has begun construction of Rosebery Manor, in Reigate Road, Epsom, at a cost of around £20 million.

The home will offer 83 private apartments plus leisure facilities such as a bistro, a hair salon and a cinema for the residents.

The home will have specialist dementia care unit, following leading research from the University of Stirling.

Sarah Devlin, a spokesperson for Signature said: "We conduct lengthy research to identify areas that we would like to build in and with the help of our development team, we were lucky enough to secure this development and gain planning.

"We feel there is a gap in the marketplace for Rosebery and we are keen to quickly become part of the community, helping local families wherever we can."

Rosebery Manor will also offer employment opportunities as the team will need carers, chefs and housekeepers.

Ms Devlin said: "We hope that our homes are exactly that, a place where our residents and their families can enjoy but also knowing that whatever the level of care they need we can provide.

"Creenagh Williamson our general manager at Moorlands in Hindhead, Surrey, won the Care Manager of the Year at the Surrey Care Awards, together with also being runner up in the National Great British Care Awards."

The home will also feature eco-friendly heating and ventilation, courtesy of London based JS Wright.
