School trains for charity march School trains for charity march

Seaton House school is training for their mini Marsden March.

Last year’s charity march saw thousands walk from the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton.

A team of staff members from the school took part in the first march last year, which inspired teacher Sallie Lunn to instigate the Seaton House School Mini Marsden March.

On the afternoon of Friday, March 9, prior to the official walk on Sunday, March 11, the school will walk from their site in Banstead Road South to the Royal Marsden in Sutton.

Each form has their own Just Giving sponsorship page and the school is encouraging friendly rivalry to see who can raise the most money.

A target of £4,000 has been set and with just five weeks to go, they have already raised about £3,000.

The girls have been training by marching around the tennis courts with Violet Bear, the school’s mascot.
