A group of travellers have ignored legal action to leave Horton Country Park in Epsom.
On Thursday, August 10, a legal Direction was served by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council (EEBC) to move the travellers from the site.
However, EEBC are now reporting that the caravans remain present.
A statement added: "We are also aware of nine additional caravans that have joined the existing group of travellers."
The council is now undertaking more legal action as a Court hearing is being held today, August 14.
'Around 13' traveller caravans had set up camp there on Tuesday, August 8, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council (EEBC) had stated.
The council owns the land they had parked on, a spokeswoman added.
There were "around 13" caravans, she advised.
EEBC rangers and police officers visited the site at 2.30pm on Tuesday to "ensure that no offences had taken place and to take any appropriate action", a Surrey Police spokeswoman stated.
