A blind elderly woman has been the target of a distraction burglar in Cobham.
The 88-year-old woman, who is registered blind and needs a stick to help her walk, was burgled at her home in Coveham Crescent between 10.35am and 11.10am on April 17.
The burglar posed as a workman and told the victim he was working on an upstairs flat and needed to turn off her water to carry out the work.
She let him in and he went into the bathroom before entering other rooms.
He was then confronted by the victim and left.
After he left the pensioner discovered £400 had been taken from her purse along with antique jewellery of great sentimental value.
