The sudden death of a woman in Walton is being investigated by police.
Emergency services were called to Station Avenue at about 11.15pm on Saturday, February 10, to reports of concern for the safety of a woman in her 70s.
The woman was waking back after spending the evening in Surbiton.
Despite the efforts of members of the public and ambulance crews, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are treating her sudden death as unexplained, and are investigating, but there is currently no suggestion it was suspicious.
Anyone who saw the incident, or stopped to assist the woman, particularly a man in his late 20s or early 30s, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference PR/45180015547, as soon as possible.
