An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after a serious collision with a van in Thames Ditton this morning.
The incident, which involved a woman in her 80s and a white Ford Transit, took place between 8.30am and 8.35am by the Shell service station in Cholmley Road.
An ambulance took her to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with serious head injuries and injuries to her leg.
Medics from the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service also attended.
The road was reopened just after noon.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with other information.
