Most of the snow appears to have been and gone, and areas around south London can get back to normal mid-March weather.
Into Sunday night, light snow showers are still expected in a lot of areas, with temperatures staying at about freezing.
A yellow warning for ice remains in place for Monday.
The Met Office's chief forecaster said: "After a very cold day on Sunday, temperatures are likely to fall well below freezing across many areas into the start of Monday. This will lead to any partly melted snow refreezing.
"Snow in the south and southwest of England will be slower to clear and may take until morning before dying out completely, whilst some wintry showers may continue to affect eastern coasts, falling onto subzero surfaces."
Into Monday afternoon, we're likely to see some sunshine, which should drag the temperature up to about four degrees.
