The areas of Croydon where violence and sexual crimes are most prevalent have been revealed.

The latest figures recorded by the Metropolitan Police show that 816 of those incidents were reported in Croydon for the month of January.

The statistics are broken down into 14 categories, ranging from burglary, to possession of weapons, to anti-social behaviour.

For the 27 different policing boroughs there is a clear difference when it comes to Violent and sexual crimes though.

Croydon Town centre had the most reported crimes in this particular category by a wide margin with 102, while Coulsdon East was the ward with the lowest, at 4
