A Wallington man has created the beer to end all beer festivals.

Using fuggles, sage, and honey, Peter Biden of Brambledown Road has brewed a beer that will celebrate the ending of the London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival in two weeks time.

This came about after Mr Biden won the chance to brew alongside head brewer at Alphabeta Brewery, Michaela White.

All he had to do was come up with the winning name for the festival's logo.

It is fair to say Mr Biden was excited by the opportunity.

“I’m really impressed with Michaela’s knowledge, experience, and absolute confidence to try new ingredient,” he siad.

“I am thoroughly looking to try the beer he helped brew at the London Drinker Festival."

That winning beer, named Beerwulf, has been described as an "unusual" one, which once fully fermented, will have an ABV in the range of 4.5% to 5%.

Mr Biden's creation will be available exclusively at the beer festival which will be held from March 14-16, at Camden Centre in Bidborough Street. This is the last ever London Drinker Festival as the hall is closing this summer for refurbishment.
