Emergency services attended a fire at a third floor flat on Maldon Road in Wallington this afternoon.
The London Fire Brigade sent two fire engines to the scene and said the flat was "slightly damaged".
They told Sutton Guardian they were called at 3.19pm after a smell of smoke was reported.
The fire was under control by 3.48pm with no injuries being sustained.
