A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision in Coulsdon.

Police were called at 10.25pm yesterday (Monday, July 17) to Coulsdon Road, at the junction with Canons Hill to reports of a road traffic collision.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and discovered a car had been in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to a south London hospital. His injuries are described as life-threatening. His next of kin are aware.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the events leading up to the collision to come forward.
