A man was attacked as he bought cigarettes from a petrol station kiosk.

The man was walking home with his girlfriend from a barbecue with friends when he stopped at the BP petrol station on Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton at 1.52am on Sunday June 10.

When the 40-year-old victim joined the queue, he was knocked to the ground and kicked by two men nearby.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police would like to speak to the two men pictured as they were in the forecourt at the time.

The suspects are both described as white men, aged 30-40, about 5ft 7in tall.

They were wearing white, short sleeved shirts. One is described as stocky, the other slimmer. One of the men may be known as Darren.

Police believe both suspects are local to the immediate area because they arrived on foot from the direction of Carshalton Ponds and left heading north along Green Wrythe Lane.
