Owners of a hair salon in Streatham High Road have warned other businesses to be on high alert after cash was stolen from the till in a late night raid.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in at Paul K Stylists, which happened on the night of Monday, May 14.
Posting on Twitter after the incident, the hair salon said: “Attention Streatham businesses. Unfortunately we were broken into on Monday evening- please take extra care with your security!”
The owner of the salon, who did not want to be named, later said “nothing of great importance” had been stolen in the burglary but added they would be taking “strong security measures” to ensure it did not happen again.
It is understood Pizza Express near Streatham Hill station was also targeted during the same evening.
No arrests have been made but police enquiries continue.
