Police continue appeal over Cheam attack
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a violent attack on 21-year-old in North Cheam.
The man was punched and kicked on Saturday, March 3, at about 1am in London Road, outside the Goals soccer centre.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for a fractured eye socket and broken ankle.
Detective Constable Derek Young, of Sutton CID, said: “There were a lot of people in the area at the time – so we urge anyone who was there to come forward and tell us what you saw.
“We want to bring those people who carried out this attack before the courts.”
The victim had been at a birthday party at North Cheam Sports and Social Club, but had left some time before he was attacked.
His attackers had not been at the party.
Anyone with information can contact Sutton CID on 020 8649 0747.
Witnesses can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

If there were a lot of people in the area at the time (1am on a friday night) shouldn't there have been a few police officers as well?
