A 33-year-old solicitor has been charged with the murder of a social worker in Ashtead.
Richard Davies Jones, a solicitor from Woodfield Lane, Lower Ashtead, was charged in the early hours of this morning with the murder of 31-year-old Laura Grace Emily Davies Jones, a social worker from the same address.
Officers were called to the house shortly before 2pm on December 1, where Mrs Davies Jones was found with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at around 2.30pm.
A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be a stab wound to the throat.
Mr Davies Jones will appear at Guildford Magistrates Court today (December 13).
