Colleagues at John Lewis Croydon completed a 2012 inspired challenge to raise money for charity.

Fifty-two members of staff-or 'partners', as John Lewis refers to them, took it in turn to run or cycle their contribution to the a 2012 kilometres target, set for each John Lewis at Home store.

The challenge forms part of the chain's 'Challenge 2012' initiative, which aims promote sport, celebrate London 2012 and highlight the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Partners at the branch on Purley Way, chose to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Croydon.

Branch manager Glynis Gunning-Stevenson said: "We have got a partner who is suffering from MS. He is a member of our team and he struggles with it on a daily basis. So when it came to choosing a charity it was a no brainer.

"It's great to be doing something good for us and something that is good for the charity."
