Two “dangerous” men have been jailed for the terrifying gunpoint robbery of a young mother and her three-year-old daughter in their own home.

At Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday, Olumide Buraimoh, 20, and Sanchez Adams,19, both of Camberwell, were sentenced to eight years for robbery and six years for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Their sentences will run concurrently.

Buraimoh and Adams had threatened to kill a 24-year-old woman and her daughter with a gun and fired shots inside her flat in Herne Hill on September 24 last year.

The pair came to the flat asking to buy drugs from a friend of the victim, but once inside Adams produced the gun and Buraimoh snatched the girl in to another room.

Buraimoh then put a knife to the mother’s neck and pinned her to the floor while Adams tore her watch off her wrist.

The mother heard gun shots during the ordeal and police later found a bullet lodged in the front door.

The victim recognised Buraimoh, 20, of Sceux Gardens, and Sanchez Adams, of Knatchbull Road, during an identification procedure.

Detective Inspector Raymond Keating, of the Trident South Shootings Team, said: "It is due to the courage of this young woman giving evidence in court that these dangerous men have been convicted and sentenced today.

"Everyone who worked on this case was struck not only by the unnecessary violence of this attack, but by the determination of the victim to see justice for herself and her three-year-old daughter."
