A teenager was rushed to hospital after falling from a bridge in Sutton.

Emergency services were called to the A217 Reigate Avenue at the junction with Glastonbury Road, at about 6.45pm yesterday.

London's air ambulance, a clinician in a fast response car, an ambulance crew and a duty manager were sent to the scene.

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance said: "We were called to reports of a fall from height on Reigate Avenue, Sutton.

"The first of our staff arrived in six minutes.

"We treated a female patient reported to be 14-years-old for a back injury and took her to St George's Hospital as a priority."
