A stash of about 60 cannabis plants has been uncovered during a drugs raid.

Police officers from the Woodside Safer Neighbourhoods Team uncovered a cannabis factory at an address in Enmore Avenue after being tipped off by neighbouring residents.

A search warrant was granted at Croydon Magistrates Court on July 4 to carry out the raid The plants, as well as growing and cultivating equipment such as lamps and fans were found.

PC Mark Weaving from the Woodside SNT, who organised the raid said: “This action came about as a direct result of local residents getting in touch with us.

"We had complaints that there was cannabis growing at the house and it was having a negative impact upon neighbours’ lives.”
