Thousands turned out for the sixth Crystal Palace Overground Festival last week.

The annual arts and food event, staged from Wednesday to Saturday in Westow Park and the Crystal Place Triangle, was attended by an about 4,500 people.

Entertainment included a set from Carter USM front man Jim Bob, as well as performing arts, crafts, music, a garden fair and a real ale festival.

Festival organiser Noreen Meehan said: "We are incredibly pleased with how the festival went this year -around 4,500 visitors came out to experience another very successful festival.

"The weather was kind to us and our new additions to the event- the tasting tent, the performing arts circle and the Alleycats cocktail bar- were a roaring success.

"The Triangle venues were rocking and plans are already being made to grow the festival for next year."
