A busy road, which was closed after a double shooting, finally reopened again last night.
Falcon Road, in Battersea, opened at 9.30pm having been closed since Wednesday evening when a 40-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were shot at 9.45pm.
The 40-year-old man was shot in the left leg and was discharged from hospital yesterday, whilst the younger man is still in hospital with chest wounds.
Today it emerged firefighters based nearby brought one of the men into Battersea fire station in Este Road, and gave him first aid before he was taken to hospital.
The brigade declined to comment further.
Police said the road closure was necessary to allow a forensic team to investigate.
A restaurant worker, who heard the gunshots, said: "I suddenly heard a loud noise, a bam-bam sound around five times.
"I thought it must have been a gun, we were worried again after the riots."
