This is the carnage left as bungling ram raiders failed to steal a cashpoint.
The attempted theft, which happened between 3am and 4am this morning, left a giant, gaping hole in the side of Sainsbury's, Purley Way.
But the thieves left empty handed after they failed to remove the cash machines from the supermarket.
This morning shoppers skirted their way around the debris, strewn across the road and stood in awe looking at the van sized hole in the building.
