A jury sitting on the murder trial of a cleaner accused of stabbing her 81-year-old employer to death has retired to consider the evidence and reach a verdict.
Nicola Bushnell, 44, from Epsom, is accused of murdering retired police administrator Joyce Cregeen at the pensioner’s home in Sefton Road, Epsom.
During the past four weeks, the jury heard at the Old Bailey how Mrs Bushnell, who worked as a cleaner for Mrs Cregeen, had been caught stealing money from her bank account.
Mrs Bushnell, of Middleton Road, denies murder.
The trial continues.
