Two unemployed Italians have been charged with the murder of two men who shared a flat in West Norwood.
Claudio Lamponi, 29, of Norwood High Street, and Massimo Manai, 41, of no fixed address, have been charged with the murders of Donald MacPherson, 60, and Luciano Schiano, 49, at Summersell House, in Bentons Rise, on or before October 20.
The two men were found stabbed to death in their ground floor flat on October 20 after Mr MacPherson's daughters became concerned when he did not show for work.
Mr MacPherson, a chef who had seven grandchildren, suffered stab wounds to the face and neck.
Mr Schiano, a Big Issue seller who spent a lot of time around Brixton station, died from a number of knife wounds to his neck and torso.
Mr Lamponi and Mr Manai are due to appear at Greenwich Magistrates' Court tomorrow (November 27).
