This pile of blankets were among the works of art on display at Battersea’s Affordable Art Fair last week.
Despite the recession, the fair had a record turn-out.
Kids enjoyed face-painting and sculpture making while the adults browsed thousands of paintings, photographs and art work, spending a total of £3.7m - up £100,000 on last year.
The sculptures on display included works by Noilin O'Kelly which turned a stack of blankets and a broken chair into art.
Fair founder Will Ramsey said: "These results are extraordinary considering the doom and gloom which continues to be reported on a daily basis. It seems affordability is ever more relevant and that the lower end of the art market can hold its own and even beat the stock market as consumers search for alternative potential assets.”
The next affordable art event will take place at Battersea Park from October 22 to 25.
