A network of drug dealers have been jailed for a total of 46 years and nine months following the largest ever operation carried out by police in East Surrey.

Operation Kingbird helped snare 15 men and women- including Simeon Brown, 18, and Theo Gonzales, 19, from Clapham, who were making up to £20,000 a week peddling class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine.

Darren Jackson-Brown, 29, from Tulse Hill, and Wayne Crooks, 27, of Roupell Road, Streatham, were also among the drug dealers.

Dealers from Horley, Tulse Hill, Redhill, Woodhatch and Dagenham were also convicted and sentenced to an average of three years each.

East Surrey’s divisional commander Chief Superintendent Adrian Harper said: “Last year Operation Kingbird was a huge success for East Surrey and now we see the final drug dealers put behind bars.

“Those involved in flooding our streets with class A heroin and crack cocaine are collectively serving almost 47 years in prison. Something which not only reflects the seriousness of their offences but also sends a clear message that Surrey Police will not tolerate the supply of illegal drugs.

“Anyone committing serious crime in Surrey especially those who think they can travel into the county to deal drugs face a significant risk of a long time in prison.

“Drug dealing is a cancer in our community and I can assure you that my officers are doing all they can to crackdown on anyone who thinks they can supply illegal drugs here.

“With your continued help we can ensure that drug dealers are locked away for a very long time.”
