Hertfordshire Police are warning businesses to be careful with post after the recent anthrax deliveries in America.
All firms, and householders, should be careful when opening post, and look out for unusual, badly addressed or unexpected deliveries.
People should look for oily stains, strange odours or discoloured packages, and letters should be carefully opened with a pair of scissors. Firms who consider themselves to be targets should issue latex gloves for staff to use when opening the post.
More information is available on the police website at www.herts.police.uk, or by calling 01707 354743.
