Mitcham winter wonderland helping children

A Christmas treat for kids is set to raise money for a good cause, thanks to a Mitcham woman.

Susanne Singh worked with a friend to organise a ‘Winter Wonderland’ event featuring festive games, activities and food - and an appearance by Father Christmas himself.

The event will raise money for the NSPCC.

She said: “We felt that there was no better time to organise an event to raise money and awareness of the NSPCC and the work they do.

“I adore children and it's really unfortunate that not all children in the world are lucky enough to be able to enjoy Christmas and celebrate it with their loved ones, so we wanted to do our bit to help in the best way that we possibly could."

The event will take place on December 20 from 2-6pm at Tooting Leisure Centre on Garratt Lane. Tickets cost £5.
