Chiswick driver fined on Remembrance Day

CCTV footage has shown that a Chiswick motorist was not observing the two-minute silence on Remembrance Day when she received a parking ticket.

Stephanie Jost claimed she was standing by her vehicle, paying her respects to Britain’s war dead, as a traffic warden stuck the ticket on her windscreen at 11am on Tuesday.

Hounslow Council examined CCTV footage of the area following the allegation.

Councillor Paul Fisher of Hounslow Council said: "The allegation made in the forum was not supported by photographic evidence.

"This appears to have been recognised as the PCN was paid on Wednesday morning.

"As far as the council is concerned, the matter is now closed."

Tuesday was the 90th anniversary of the Armistice which marked the end of the First World War.

This is disgusting. The wardens are power hungry wannabes who are directed by even more pathetic power hungry local authorities.
Why wasnt the warden observing the 2 minute silence, i could make an educated guess as im sure a lot of others could.
Disgraceful.

I don't think parking attendants are employed for either their sense of fairness, honesty or their integrity - they are employed to work as robotic parasites to serve their parasite revenue-hungry masters.

If I was unemployed I would rather get a job cleaning soiled toilets during a diarrhoea epidemic than work as the lowest of the low - a street-mugger in a uniform, otherwise known as a 'parking attendant.'

We won the wars and still lost our freedom. We are now slaves to the state.

Yes, Lez, we are slaves to these parasites. I bet he wasn't a British subject, probably an illegal who gets an expensive home practically for free, NHS medical care for his disgusting diseases and delights in hurting his hosts.

Only one word to describe this, DISGUSTING.

There's no doubt the fine will be cancelled, but the person who issued the ticket should be severely reprimanded if not fired, and the local authority should issue an unreserved apology, not to the driver of the vehicle, but to every living war veteran.

They won't of course, as they are all a bunch of self-serving idiots.

Now we know why people call traffic wardens, Nazis. This one must have been for not observing the two minutes silence.

Regardless of this new information that the driver was not observing the two-minute silence, we all know how badly parking attendants behave, the evidence is well recorded on the under-cover TV documentaries etc.

If true - it's a shame about the way that the driver has behaved in this matter, but if only I had one pound for every time a parking attendant has lied, myself, my friends and my family could live in luxury and would never have to work ever again.

I stick by my previous post.
