Two women have died after a road accident in Clapham yesterday afternoon.
Police say they were called at 1.49pm to reports that an Audi A3 car, carrying five women, had collided with a tree in King's Avenue near the junction with Bourke Close, Clapham.
One woman, aged in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second woman, also believed to be in her 60s, was rushed to hospital where she died later that afternoon.
The three other women were taken to various London hospitals where their conditions are described as serious but not life threatening.
