Families had a taste of chocolate heaven yesterday as Krispy Kreme's New Malden branch was transformed into a scene reminiscent of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
To celebrate their month-long chocolate carnival the store were offering behind-the-scenes tours, the chance to decorate your own donut and chocolate-themed makeovers.
Face painters and balloon modellers also kept children entertained at the event, which general manager Matthew Condotti said had been a roaring success.
“The amount of people that have come out is fantastic – we couldn't have asked for better,” he said.
“It's great to see so many happy faces.”
Amy Taylor, nine, from Wimbledon, said: “It's really exciting to see how the donuts are made and they taste delicious.”
