Little Emma Rook looks pretty in pink as she frolics with baby meerkats at Battersea Park Zoo after winning a competition to name them.
The two-year-old from Wandsworth Common chose the name Digger at a special day on September 13 - where people had to come up with names which would be suitable for a boy or a girl for the zoo’s four latest additions.
The best entry was then picked out and Emma was one of the winners. The other winners chose Dash, Scout and Scamper.
Other activities on the Meerkat-themed day included Meerkat stories, colouring in and helping the zoo keeper give them their feed.
Children were asked to put pieces of fruit and vegetables, with a few really brave tots putting in wiggly worms, into a paper sack which was then placed in the Meerkat enclosure where they had fun ripping up the sacks to get to their treats.
