A tribute concert is to be held in Twickenham tonight to mark the 31st anniversary of the death of T.Rex singer Marc Bolan.
Organised by a group of students, the concert will feature up-and-coming band Kid Champion as well as local acts Dirty Gospel and Black Taste.
A T.Rex tribute band will also be performing playing classic tracks including 20th Century Boy and Children of the Revolution.
Marc Bolan Bolan died on September 16, 1977, two weeks before his 30th birthday, when the Mini driven by his girlfriend Gloria Jones crashed into a tree in Queens Ride, Barnes.
The glam rock singer made his name in the early 70s with the band T.Rex.
The concert starts at 7.30pm at Filthy Macnasties at the Red Lion pub in Heath Road, Twickenham.
Entrance is free.
